Welcome

Mark Hume - Chairman Junior SectionIts is with great pleasure that I welcome you all to Junior Veseyans RFC for the 2009/2010 season. This is very exciting time for all at the club including you. For our first season together we have a lot of work to do with games, training and of course the junior section tour but with a little hard work this is well in reach for us all.

I would like to thank all the members of the junior committee for all of their hard work, they have put in so far. Without them this wouldn’t have happened. I would also like to thank the chairman of Veseyan RFC, Karl Ward for all his help in setting this junior section up.

To all the players train hard and well. Play the game hard but fair. Win with dignity, lose with honour. Whichever the case enjoy the game. I would like to wish you all well for the new season.

Safeguarding Children

Children are the lifeblood of the game and it is crucial that they are cared for in the correct manner. Any player under the age of 18 is classed as a child and should be respected as such.

As a parent you will no doubt want your child to enjoy their involvement in rugby union in a safe, friendly environment where there are opportunities to learn and develop rugby skills while also having fun. Veseyans RFC is the ideal place for you.

What you should expect:

  • A friendly welcome, an opportunity to meet new friends
    and watch rugby.
  • Opportunities to be involved in all aspects of club life
    and use your own expertise.
  • Opportunities for your child to have fun and develop their
game as much as they want to.
  • A safe environment.
  • Qualified coaches and responsible volunteers.
  • Relationships based on trust, honesty and respect
where your child is valued and listened to and where
    their welfare is paramount.
  • Child Protection Policy available for you on request.
  • Clear lines of communication with you about your child,
    fixtures, training and events.
